The Idea for Ayurveda for Animals came from the love I have for my horse Rocky and my seemingly endless search for a cure to his arthritis. I tried every available treatment and was up to 3 injections per month, but nothing seemed to help. Many years ago while living in California, I was introduced to Ayurvedic medicine for myself and was impressed with the positive effects on my health.
I was referred to Dr. Chauhan and we collaberated on a formulation to relieve Rocky's arthritis. Within 7 days results were evident and by the end of 2 months, I had a new horse. Everyone in the barn, including people who had seen everything under the sun, could not believe it.
I actully began using the product on my younger horse's pulled tendon and saw amazing results. At that time I decided to create a product line to treat not only horses, but dogs and cats also. The end result was the creation of Ayurveda for Animals. I hope that you will be able to experience the same joy I felt when I was finally able to help Rocky and my other pets lead a better, heathier, pain free life.
Why Ayurveda for Animals ?
Our pets are creatures of movement. Our horses may have careers in conformation, as jumpers and eventers. Many of our pure-bred dogs lead active lives and suffer from painful joint conditions as they grow older. Both Inflam-Away and Stress-Away have been formulated to help re-balance the vata by reducing joint endema, and relieving pain and inflamation.
The presence of stress in our pets' lives often leads to ulceration and excess acid formation. By controlling the vitiated vata and aiding digestion and PH maintenance Ulcero-Heal can help eliminate these disorders.
Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be one of the oldest of the healing sciences. Literally translated from Sanskrit, Ayurveda means " The Science of Life." Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India over 5,000 years ago and has its roots in accient Vedic culture. Many western healing systems that rely on natural healing(Homeopathy, Polarity Therapy) can find their origins in Ayurvedic practices.
In Ayurveda, emphasis is placed on prevention and maintenance of health through understanding the interactions between the doshas, three principal energies of the body.
The Vata is the energy of movement, the Pitta is the energy of the metabolism, and the Kapha is the energy of lubrication and structure. An excess or deficit of any of the doshas may result in imbalance and illness.
